Among them, according to the statistics of product varieties, the output of general styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), mainly tires, was 444,540 tons, down 14.2% year-on-year; The output of general-purpose cis-butadiene rubber (BR) was 306,000 tons, a slight increase of 0.4% year-on-year.
Among SBR products, solid SBR was 340,000 tons, down 16.4% year-on-year; Non-oil SBR was 200,000 tons, down 11.0% year-on-year; Oil-resistant SBR was 140,000 tons, down 23.1% year-on-year; Latex SBR was 105,000 tons, down 16.0% year-on-year.
In addition, in December 2022, the total number of synthetic rubber products in Japan was 121,000 tons, down 12.7% year-on-year. Among them, solid SBR was 31,000 tons, down 15.7% year-on-year; Non-oil SBR was 20,000 tons, down 17.1% year-on-year; Oil-resistant SBR was 11,000 tons, down 83.2% year-on-year; Latex SBR was 08,000 tons, down 15.7% year-on-year. In terms of other rubbers, the total amount of nitrile rubber products was 08,000 tons, down 21.7% year-on-year; neoprene was 12,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%; BR was 24,000 tons, down 22.3% year-on-year; Plastic rubber was 18,000 tons, down 4.0% year-on-year.
