At 14:18 on February 6, CNOOC's first acrylonitrile plant and 200,000 tons/year acrylonitrile plant of Hainan Province Key Project were successfully put into operation; At 13:16 on February 9, the successful production of qualified acrylonitrile products marked the success of the acrylonitrile project.
The acrylonitrile series plant project of Hainan Fine Chemical Phase II Project is a key project of CNOOC to extend the oil and gas chemical industry in the Oriental Lingang Industrial Park and transform and upgrade to the fine chemical industry, and it is also an important means for CNOOC to draw a new blueprint for high-quality development, create a new situation of transformation and upgrading, and realize "secondary entrepreneurship". The project will build 200,000 tons/year acrylonitrile plant, 70,000 tons/year MMA (methyl methacrylate) plant, 214,000 tons/year SAR (waste acid recovery) plant and supporting facilities, using the world's advanced propylene ammonia oxidation method to produce acrylonitrile technology, safe, energy-saving and environmental protection, and is expected to achieve an output value of about 2.5 billion yuan per year after full production. The acrylonitrile plant started feeding at 14:18 on February 6 and successfully produced qualified acrylonitrile products, which lasted a total of 72 hours, breaking the record of the shortest time from the first start of construction to qualified products by proprietary acrylonitrile technology, creating a new record for the shortest time for similar acrylonitrile devices in China to be put into operation, realizing the shortest construction period of similar projects, and writing a new chapter in the commissioning and operation of CNOOC's first acrylonitrile plant.
Since the start of construction in November 2020, with the strong support of CNOOC and the local government, CNOOC has actively coordinated all parties and mobilized the whole company to support the project construction. The acrylonitrile project team overcame many difficulties and severe tests such as tight construction period, insufficient experience of design institutes, repeated epidemics, extreme weather, labor and material price increases, and adopted a number of measures such as optimizing construction coordination and on-site management mode, implementing the "5+2" and "white and black" work system, etc., to achieve the set goals safely, high-quality and efficiently, and achieve a high standard of project construction. In the face of brand-new process equipment, the majority of cadres and employees overcame the impact of the epidemic, seriously organized study and training, intervened in the "three checks and four determinations" in advance, and paid close attention to various preparations, laying a solid foundation for ensuring the success of the acrylonitrile joint plant.
